IGCSE Year 1 & 2 (Grades 9 and 10)

Cambridge IGCSE, offered at Golden Gates Earth School, is a prestigious international qualification recognised worldwide. Designed for learners aged 14 to 16, it provides a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum that prepares learners for further education, employment, and lifelong learning. With a wide range of subjects available, including languages, sciences, humanities, and arts, learners develop deep knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Through a combination of examinations and coursework, learners are assessed on their subject knowledge, understanding, and practical skills.

Learners pursuing Cambridge IGCSE have the opportunity to study a diverse range of subjects. They must complete five IGCSE/O Level subjects, including English, Mathematics (Core/Extended), Combined/Individual Sciences, Global Perspectives, and a choice of O Level Tamil, Hindi, or French. Additionally, students can opt to study additional subjects such as ICT, Computer Science, Business Studies, Drama, and Art & Design, which can lead to an International Certificate of Education (ICE) qualification.

ICE Certification

The International Certificate of Education (ICE) is a qualification awarded by Cambridge Assessment International Education. It recognises the achievements of learners who successfully complete a minimum of seven subjects from a specified subject group, including languages, humanities, sciences, and vocational subjects. The ICE certification is an additional recognition that learners can earn alongside their individual IGCSE or O Level qualifications.

Grades 6 to 8 (Lower Secondary)

Cambridge Lower secondary is designed for learners of Grades 6 to 8 learners (aged 11 to 14). It provides a seamless transition from primary to secondary education. With a focus on holistic development, the curriculum encompasses a wide range of subjects, including English, mathematics, science, and global perspectives. It fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, empowering learners to become confident and independent thinkers.

The Academic subjects supported by the Cambridge Lower secondary curriculum are English, Math, Science, ICT and Global perspectives.

In addition to the Cambridge primary and lower secondary curriculum, we prioritise the teaching of regional languages like Tamil, Hindi, and French (Grades 6 and above only) as well as social studies/Humanities. These subjects enable learners to connect with their cultural roots, broaden their perspectives, and develop a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and societies.

To ignite creativity, we offer a range of enriching activities, including drama, art and design, library reading, martial arts, and music.
